Monday 6th January - walks * – Around Felixstowe – cloudy and cold.

Woke to 30 knots of wind, 11 degrees and rain but by 11 it had dropped to 3 degrees so definitely in no hurry to get up! I then had an idea to get some weather pics to brighten a foul day so I jumped in the van and drove to the two Trimley Churches to see if there were any snowdrops out. It tipped it down on the drive but luckily it had eased by the time I parked at 10.10 as I walked into the churchyard I saw a squirrel and a rabbit and soon found a small clump of snowdrops in bloom and got some nice pics and was lucky enough to get one on ITV’s About Anglia got to love Chris Page, looks like its going to be a good year for snowdrops as there were hundreds coming through:) I then returned to the van and headed for home via Gulpher Road, a quick look at Felixstowe Ferry.
Helped Mag make a huge shepherds pie and even managed my exercises and with no rain we decided to go for a short walk down to the prom around 3 but it was a tad on the chilly side, we were lucky the wind was offshore and on our backs! Up past Harvest house, the town centre and home, there was a little break in the cloud so I drove down to the View Point to catch a very chilly sunset ! Sadly looks like the cold weather is here for a while now!
